Dalton Truax, Jr.

Dalton Traux was raised in Arabi on Friscoville Avenue. He attended Holy Cross High School and graduated in 1953. He was a 3 year letterman in football, baseball, and wrestling. Dalton was All Prep and All Legion in baseball, the State Wrestling Heavyweight Champ, and named to the Clarion Herald “Team for All Ages.” He also played in the 1952 All-State game. Upon graduation, Dalton attended Tulane University on a football scholarship. He lettered 3 years at Tulane University during the years 1954, 1955, and 1956. In his senior year (1956), he co-captained the football team and received “The Most Outstanding Lineman Award.” Dalton graduated from Tulane in 1956 with a B.A. Degree in Earth Science.
