St. Bernard Sports Hall of Fame Nominates Three Past Inductees for Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame

The St. Bernard Sports Hall of Fame is proud to announce that it has nominated former inductees Norris Weese (1994), Jerry Pellegrini (1994), and Bobby Nuss (1995) for the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame. Weese was a standout football and baseball player at Chalmette High (1966-1969) and Ole Miss (1971-1973). He went on to play in the National Football League for the Denver Broncos (1976-1979).

Pellegrini was a standout amateur and professional (1961-1971) boxer who retired in 1971 with a record of 28-12 (12 KO). He was ranked as high as #3 in the welterweight division by major world sanctioning bodies during his career, and won the Southern Welterweight title in 1967.
